Technology Vs. Businesses – Will Technology Win?

Technology and society example: desktop screen, with keyword and hand managing it all

If you hit a search in google related to Technology and society, this is the first question you’ll see:

“How does technology relate to society?”

But we believe in a much more important question: “what does society do with technology?”

Here’s a good answer: about everything.

People are over-informed, over-exposed to ads and fake information, and over-using Technology for purposes that before were too simple to give a second thought.

Consumer’s habits and line of thought have changed substantially, and today they consider a whole new level of variables and use marketing tools previously for experts in the matter as a logical process of buying a good, such as benchmarking, that 20 years ago had no more information than a physical book and was considered an innovation.

Let’s look at it:

  • To buy a shirt online, you filter results, look for other sellers and look for shirts that look more or less the same before you hit the cart button.
  • Then, you probably leave the page before paying for it.

People are leaning more and more toward the technological side of life: online shopping, banking, communications, and even the medical field are starting to get digitalized. This extends to the point where a study by the FAA found that in two-thirds of aviation accidents, pilots had trouble manually flying the plane because they rely too much on Technology.

Technology and Humanity are so tightly interwoven that in 2016 the UN General Assembly passed a non-binding resolution that declared Internet access a human right.

The bottom line of this text is: how do you get access to the internet?

Bingo! Through Technology.

So Technology became “wearable”. It evolved so it could be packaged and put “to go “in small laptops, cellphones, or tablets. As such, human conduct developed too and started to look at the traditional world through a cell phone lens.

“Humanity will change more in the next 20 years than it has in the last 300 years” – Gerd Leonhard.

Customers will keep changing -that’s inevitable.

The good part of the tale is that so will business.

As people digitalize themselves, businesses will be more and more involved in the same process their users are- Technology.

An example of this can be a computer or cell phone that we use on an everyday basis or a BI or AI process or macro that helps businesses in a specific task. Now, this is the foundation of lots of functions related to all companies, and it’s involved with everything:

  • The design of printed banners.
  • The writing machines (actual laptops) to create a strategy.
  • About all communications methods (even physical letters have to do with Technology when the mailing company makes their internal framework).

Technology Connected To Business

(and Humanity)

Let’s talk about target and sales

B2B and B2C have this critical issue to address throughout their customer journeys: Consumer behavior.

Good news? Sure. The issue is not an issue but a challenge, and consumer behavior is not a challenge per se; the real topic is how fast it’s changing. Take this for example:

  • Mobile-first is not that new, but now it’s essential for UX experience.
  • Artificial intelligence is now everywhere, even in social media, through algorithms.
  • Big Data is now of public interest and knowledge.

As Technology And Humanity are getting more connected, leads are too.

And those who don’t step forward will stay behind.

In a world of continual evolution, the digital transformation is just a matter of time, and clients are the real and raw example.

The question is: How to rule? Here is how:

2022 Comes Recharged

People have started to do things quickly.

Meet the new Marketing Trend: Q-Commerce, where “Q “stands for Quick.

“Technology is not what we seek; it’s how we seek! “(Gerd Leonhard).

Believe it or not, Technology is not our primary goal but is currently the closest method businesses have to connect with clients.

We started to see Technology as a goal: to build robots instead of humans or software instead of personalities. But the real goal should be to use those tools to develop better humans- better companies and markets.

Conclusion

Technology is changing the game: Technology and Humanity are no longer divided but merged to create better and easier processes to do about everything.

  • Buy or Sell products or services
  • Communications
  • Advertisements

You name it.

Technology is a tool, a means to an end that needs much more than AI or BI to succeed. People still need to think and know
